At True Colours Consulting, we provide trauma-informed, equine assisted services in Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley. Every session honours each child's voice, autonomy and joy. We are committed to a child-first, consent-based model rooted in the PFA-SBT framework. As a neurodivergent led team, we prioritize safety, relationships, and respect in every interaction, with horses serving as partners in regulation, learning, and growth.
Our goal is to create an environment where children can build meaningful skills while feeling supported, understood, and valued.
True Colours offers equine-assisted services designed to support neurodivergent learners in developing confidence, emotional regulation, communication, and functional life skills.
Programs include farm-based ABA sessions, equine-assisted counselling, and nature-based learning experiences. Our team works closely with families to determine the program that best fits each learner’s strengths, goals, and needs.
Our team brings together decades of combined experience in applied behaviour analysis, therapeutic support, and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
Each member of our team shares a deep commitment to creating safe, joyful, and meaningful experiences for the children and families we support.

Behind every program at True Colours is a story that began with a simple love of horses and a belief that learning can happen differently.
True Colours began with a lifelong love of horses.
At seven years old, Tina went on her first trail ride in the Cariboo. Despite heavy rain and muddy trails, she was completely captivated. That moment sparked a lifelong connection with horses.
Fourteen years later, while completing her undergraduate degree in psychology, Tina began volunteering at a therapeutic riding facility to reconnect with that passion. It was there that she witnessed the profound growth and confidence learners experienced through interactions with horses.
Inspired by these experiences, Tina began working with autistic and neurodiverse learners and discovered the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
Over time, a new idea began to take shape:
What if the science of behaviour analysis could be combined with the relational power of horses?
After completing her Master’s degree and becoming a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, Tina brought that vision to life.
True Colours was created to integrate behaviour science and equine partnership into a program designed to support meaningful learning, emotional growth, and confidence for every learner who walks through the barn.
Today, True Colours brings together humans and horses in a shared mission: helping learners discover their strengths and let their true colours shine.
